About

Wish you could stay in a boutique hotel but only pay for the part of it you actually use? At Pangea, that's exactly what you can do. We offer designer pod accommodation that's affordable, central, and social.

A hub at the heart of Whistler Village, Pangea is a place where you can meet like-minded travelers, enjoy an espresso or craft beer in The Living Room or a shaken cocktail on The Rooftop Patio, but still have your own personal space at the end of the day.

Whoever coined the phrase 'Location. Location. Location.' might well have been thinking of Pangea (if it had been around then). We're located right on the pedestrian Village Stroll, centered between the Village Square and Mountain Square and a mere 200 meters from base of the slopes. If we shake your cocktail too much we might wet the benches in the gondolas.

Nowhere secure to store your suitcases / big bags. This is a snow town so obviously people will have a lot of things - one chain to lock your bag to is not enough and not that secure. No real spaces to sit and hang out in the pods, you’re either in your bed or on the balcony. Lights in the pods also don’t turn off and stay on all night so you’re not ever getting darkness to sleep. There was vacuuming almost every morning at 8am outside of our pods. Poor staff

Starting with the positives: - the location is incredible - the staff were great - you get more space in your ‘pods’ than you do in a normal hostel bed. Now onto the negatives: - There was no communal kitchen, not even a fridge/microwave/kettle, not really budget-travel friendly as you’re forced to eat out - I’ve never had to pay to store my luggage in a hostel after check-out. Since their check-out was 10am, I didn’t really have a choice unless I wanted to carry around my bags up the mountain

For the price and considering that the restaurant opens at 8 a microwave/kettle/sink for washing dishes should be included. Some people are early birds and are on the go first thing in the morning. They also advertised a texting service in the description but they did not reply to me
