About

Designed and built by UBC's Athletic Varsity Club in the '60's, the Whistler Lodge Hostel has been a base for mountain adventures for decades. There have been tweaks and upgrades to the hostel over the years but it still maintains the feel of a mountain cabin and makes guests feel as though they are truly experiencing Whistler.

The hostel can sleep up to 40 guests in a variety of dorm sizes and includes one private room that can sleep up to 3 people. The newly renovated kitchen is very large and is fully equipped with all of the utensils our guests need to make a great meal. Our common area is very spacious and comfortable, and has a pool table that guests may use free of charge.

We have 2x 2Bed dorms, 2x 4Bed dorms, 2x 6Bed dorms and 2x 8Bed dorm areas. One of the 8Bed dorm areas is for ladies only. Each bed comes with a full set of bedsheets, a pillow, duvet and a towel.
We also provide storage for bikes, skis and snowboards.

*Please note that we are a 19+ hostel.

I absolutely loved this hostel. It had a Canadian chalet vibe to it which I absolutely adored. I drove up here and was very pleased with the parking facilities. The hostel offers a great common space with games, guitars, pool table, a projector, and a backyard. The kitchen facilities were good. They will lend you bear spray if you intend to go hiking. The beds were built into the wall and had good curtains. These felt very private. The staff were friendly! I want to come back and stay longer!!!!

Nice, peaceful setting next to the forest. Lots of parking but you have to walk up a lot of stairs to get to the entrance. Old building with lots of confusing corridors. Bunk bed is comfortable but lower bunk is low, bumped my head twice. Lockers with combination lock provided are at another level. Kitchen is well equipped. It's gloomy and need more lighting especially at dorm area.

Overall a solid place to stay! Was slightly disappointed with the bathrooms that had moldy ceilings as well a the moldy shower curtains which weren't very private, but the hostel wasn't super busy so it didn't bother me. Staff was super kind when we arrived and they gave us a full tour of the premises which was very nice! It was a bit freezing in the dorms at night, but the bunks heat up fairly quickly when the curtains are closed!
