This upmarket rural hostel is on a hillside overlooking Uig Bay, the gateway to the Outer Hebrides. It's a short walk from the Fairy Glen, and a 20-minute walk from the picturesque Falls of Rha waterfall.

The hostel has a cosy lounge with a deck and a wood-burning stove. There's also a well-appointed kitchen and dining area offering communal seating. There is wifi in the common areas, a board games shelf, and wonderful views of the bay from the windows in the lounge.

The Cowshed Hostel Policies & Conditions:

We require full payment at the time of booking to secure your accommodation, charged to the card the booking was made on. HostelWorld will charge an initial deposit, and we will charge the remaining amount when we receive your reservation from them. If for any reason we are unable to charge your card, you will be contacted requesting a new card. If payment is unable to be made within 48hrs, the booking will be cancelled.

Cancellation policy:
If a booking is cancelled 7 or more days before arrival then the total balance will be refunded. If less than 7 days of notice are given, a charge equal to the full booking amount will be made. No-shows will be charged for the full booking amount.

General:
Check in from 16:00 to 22:00.
Check out before 10:00.

No curfew
Age Restriction: 18+ years only.
The maximum period of stay is 14 days.

Please be aware that our driveway is steep and tightly winding, and may not be passable by long vehicles or those towing trailers.

This hostel is amazing! Very small and quiet, with a big and furnished shared kitchen and living room with a view of the bay. The dorms are clean and spacious, every bed has its own light and socket, and also a courtain for more privacy. There are lockers and hangers in the room. Bathrooms are big and mostly clean (but this depends on the guests). A bit on the higher range of the price for an hostel, but worthy.
