Welcome to Vagamundo Hostel, a friendly and relaxed hostel located in the heart of Los Llanos de Aridane, on the sunny west side of La Palma.

Whether you're a backpacker, solo traveller, digital nomad, cyclist or hiking enthusiast, Vagamundo is a place where travellers from around the world come together to share experiences and discover one of the Canary Islands' most authentic destinations.

Our hostel offers a variety of accommodation, including shared dormitories and private rooms, providing a comfortable stay for every type of traveller. Guests can enjoy a fully equipped shared kitchen, a spacious communal dining area, a cosy TV lounge, a quiet library and two peaceful interior patios, perfect for relaxing after a day of exploring the island.

La Palma is renowned for its breathtaking volcanic landscapes, spectacular hiking trails, black-sand beaches, lush forests and some of the clearest night skies in the world. Clean and pleasant hostel, well situated in the centre of town near plenty of restaurants/cafes/bars, and a good base for hiking the volcano landscapes to the north and south. The communal spaces are a little awkwardly sized/arranged, so it feels a bit difficult to just get chatting to someone in your downtime, and they could also do with softer mattresses and (in the private room I stayed in) a normal shower instead of a weird miniature stepped bathtub. Generally enjoyed my stay, though.

A lovely, chill hostel just a short 5-10 minute walk from Los Llanos bus station, ideal if you are not driving. Also conveniently located for restaurants, shops and nightlife. Rooms and beds are clean and cosy, the kitchen is smaller, but well equipped.
