Not great. Booked on a late friday didn't have our booking as booked Friday night, reception isn't open Saturday or Sunday so late night booking on friday they didn't know we were coming and took an extra 40 minutes for room to be ready even though we selected 1pm check in. Friday evening so booking wasn't picked up. Multiple times the door entrace to the hostel was proppedopen with a door wedge, the door should have been locked with magnetic lock. Mould in shower aswell. Have pictures of all

Hostel kitchen is really good. But it is not 3 minutes walk to Victoria Market, is not in the free tram zone and is not luxury. There is no AC and the room was sweltering hot all night in the Melbourne summer. The “towels” provided was a single, rather thin and old hand towel and the bedroom door was so stiff I had a hard time getting it to open wide enough to pass through. I am still cross because I thought I was booking for Carric Hotel which IS near the market and IS in the free tram.

Really great location and helpful staff. There is no lift so you have to climb up to 3 flights of stairs in order to get to your room, which isn't a problem for me, but it might prove difficult for others. Furthermore I wasn't aware I would be staying on the 3rd floor until I arrived at the hostel, so I had packed a fair amount of luggage which I had to take up and downstairs by hand.
