Old Radio Hostel

Awarded 2 times as the best hostel in Uzbekistan (2023 and 2024),Old Radio hostel is all about care and passion for travelers.
The hostel is located in the historical part of the city, between Registan Square and Bibi Khanym mosque. It`s a walking distance from the hostel to all the sightseeings of the city. Old Radio is just right place to stay for the traveler who wishes to experience the city from the antique side.

We turned the old house into a cozy and clean hostel and added some vintage items. Old Radio hostel has a well-equipped kitchen, dining area, and 24-hour front desk. Free Wi-Fi is available throughout the property.
All bunk beds are equipped with privacy curtains to enjoy your personal space while lying in your bed. Plus power sockets, small shelf, reading light and towel hanger. Our carefully designed bunk beds are equipped with specially selected comfortable mattresses and individual locker.

Clean bed linen towels, tea and coffee all day provided for free. All rooms are air-conditioned and come with a work desk. In the hostel`s courtyard you may enjoy sitting outside and relaxing, especially in summer time.

We offer 4 comfortable rooms with 3 bathrooms (hot water supply, heating system);
1. Twin room (private room with 2 single beds) with shared bathroom.
2. Double room (private room with king size bed for 2 persons) with private bathroom.
3. Double room (private room with king size bed for 2 persons) with shared bathroom.
4. Mixed dorm room for 8 persons (bunk beds) with its own bathroom.

Apart of well-deserved rest in our hostel, you can always get all the necessary information about Samarkand, the surrounding area, and insider tips on what to see and where to go. Our hospitable and friendly staff will be happy to tell you about our favorite local coffees, bars, restaurants, and secret places of the city.

Hostel policies:
Cancellation policy: 1 day before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.
24-hour front desk
Check in from 14:00 to 00:00 .
Check out before 12:00 .
Payment upon arrival by cash.
City tax is not included ( 2$ per person per night).


No curfew.
Non smoking in the room. Only in the courtyard allowed.
