Welcome to This is Colombia Hostel! We are a family run, Colombian owned hostel in the heart of San Gil located just one block from San Gil’s central plaza with cafes, shops, and restaurants. In our spacious dormitory and private rooms, you can relax after a long day exploring and feel right at home.

All local activities can be booked directly at our front desk. From paragliding over the Chicamocha Canyon, exploring underground caves, and rafting on three local rivers, there’s an adventure for everyone! We have a complete guide and map to help you explore the area.

All rooms include hot water showers and private bathrooms. Our private rooms come with Smart TVs, fans, and nightstands. Our shared dormitory has air conditioning.

Our common areas include a downstairs lounge area with a TV perfect for watching Netflix or movies and plenty of board games. In our upstairs balcony, you can borrow a book from our small library, play guitar, relax, and enjoy a cup of coffee.

Guests are welcome to use our fully equipped kitchen from 10am - 9pm. Coffee and tea are available free any time of day! Our reception is open 24 hours.

A hearty and delicious breakfast is available 7-10am for an additional charge ($14.000 COP).

From our location, you can easily walk to San Gil’s central plaza, visit a typical Colombian Market, and enjoy restaurants and cafes. We are a short walk to the “Terminalito” where you can take local buses to Barichara, Curití, Juan Curi waterfall, and more.

Our Policies:

Cancellation Policy: 24 hours before arrival. In case of late cancellation or No Show, you will be charged for the first night of your stay.

Check in from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m.
Check out before 12.00pm. To arrange early or late checkout, just contact our front desk.

Payment upon arrival in cash, transfers, credit and debit cards.
Taxes included.
