Welcome to This Is Colombia Hostel, a young, social and boutique-style hostel located just one block from San Gil’s main square, surrounded by cafés, restaurants and local shops.
We offer a relaxed and friendly atmosphere where it’s easy to connect with other travelers, enjoy good vibes and feel at home — without being a party hostel. After a full day exploring San Gil, this is a place to rest well, share stories and recharge.
We have comfortable private rooms with private bathrooms as well as spacious shared dormitories, all designed with comfort and cleanliness in mind. Hot water showers are available in all rooms. Private rooms include Smart TVs, fans and bedside tables, while our dormitory features air conditioning.
We are independently owned and operated by a young Colombian team, and our staff is always happy to help you plan your stay. All local adventure activities can be booked directly at the front desk, including paragliding over Chicamocha Canyon, rafting, cave exploration and more. We also provide maps and local tips so you can explore San Gil with confidence.

We offer free coffee and tea 24 hours a day, as well as free drinking water refill through our filtered water system — helping you stay hydrated and reduce plastic waste.
Guests are welcome to use our fully equipped kitchen from 10:00 am to 9:00 pm. Reception is open 24 hours.
A hearty and delicious breakfast is available from 7:00 am to 10:00 am for an additional charge (14,000 COP).
Thanks to our central location, you can easily walk to the main square, local markets, restaurants and cafés. We are also close to the “Terminalito”, with buses to Barichara, Curití, Juan Curí Waterfall and other nearby destinations.
