🤙 ABOUT US:
- We are a social hostel ideal for solo travellers or very small groups. This is an important part of our vibe and why we feel like a family - if you are not ready to socialise with others please do NOT book with us, we are not the right fit for you.
- ⁠We are the original backpacker’s hostel in Ahangama and are a local, family owned business that gives back to the community.
- We are a social hub for all travellers and nomads - running popular social events every day of the week.
- ⁠This is the 5th season of our YoYos family. This year we invested in lots of changes, taking on board customer’s suggestions & guest’s reviews. This has upgraded our hostel even further, aiming to give you your best ever hostel experience.
- We recommend you read every room description carefully before you book, as some rooms have been upgraded since the pictures and we want to make sure you pick the best fitting option for you.

💃 SOCIAL & EVENTS:

- Our guests are a nice mix of surfers & backpackers. We host family meals and film nights, but we love a bit of partying & dancing too!
- Before arrival look out for our email with a link to join our guest WhatsApp group and stay up to date with our daily events.
- The famous 'Doctors House', Lazies rooftop party & Lamana stake party are all close by. Join us for pre-drinks, beer pong, pool & drinking games.
- Get special discounts for the parties we are partnered with.
- We also offer regular ‘Yoga' sessions in our back garden.

🛏️ THE ROOMS:

- We offer a choice of comfortable dorm-rooms with air-conditioning, privacy curtains, or with a fan for the more budget-minded travellers. Each bed is dressed with high quality, comfortable bedding and provided with a secure locker, universal charge point and reading lamp.
- ⁠Towels are available to rent. We offer laundry services too.

🛋️ COMMUNAL SPACES & FACILITIES:

- Our communal living area includes a pool table, dart board, chess and several other board & card games.
- Our beanbags & sofas create the perfect chill space that’s always vibing and very easy to meet other people in. The area has several tables fans, and power stations - ideal for digital nomads to work on laptops.
- ⁠Our restaurant & bar - Tipzies by YoYo, is attached to the main building where we serve various food options and coffee, soft drinks, cold beers & cocktails.
- Guests are welcome to bring food from outside and use our dedicated communal guest fridges. There is a microwave available for guest use too.
- ⁠We highly discourage plastic use so we provide free glass bottles for guest to use. We have a purfied water dispenser available for water bottle refilling (at a cost).
- ⁠Free tea is available from the communal pantry area 24/7.
- ⁠Bringing in alcohol from outside the hostel is not permitted.
- ⁠Our large outdoor space with hammocks and sunbeds is perfect for chilling outside on a sunny rest-day.
- ⁠As we are slightly set back from the main road, the area is peaceful and free from the noise of traffic. So you can chill/work/relax after your surf in peace.
- We have a small outdoor gym for fitness focused travellers to use 24/7 for free.
- ⁠We regularly spot monkeys, mongoose and lizards playing in our yard.

🏄🏽‍♀️ SURF:

- ⁠We are nestled right in the middle of the best surfing spots on the south coast. Weligama's easy beach-break is 6km away & Kabalana beach is 3.4km away, perfect for those lovely longboard days or if you are a newbie.
- ⁠ Directly across from the hostel is Sion AKA Devils Rock - perfect for intermediate & pro surfers. Lazy Left, Lazy Right and the famous Ram's are all conveniently located down the road, also ideal for intermediates & pro surfers.
- ⁠Coconuts, Plantations, Marshmallows, Animals, Sticks & Gas station famous breaks for those looking to graduate from the sand, are also close by.
- ⁠Surf lessons for all levels are available through the hostel as well as daily board rental.
- ⁠Alternatively, there is surf board rental available at most surf spots.

🛺 LOCATION & TRANSPORT:

- ⁠Mirissa, Weligama, Midigama, Ahangama, Unawatuna, Galle, and the whole South Coast is within a very easy reach. We are 250m from a bus stop and just 2km from the train station.
- ⁠We can arrange scooter rentals with surf racks, delivered to the hostel so you take your board and hop between surf spots.
- ⁠We can arrange taxi and tuktuk services for you from the hostel, with fair prices so you don’t have to haggle.
- ⁠If you're hiring a scooter or a tuk tuk we have plenty of space for secure, safe parking.
