About

Rosalma's on Rua de Santa Catarina, right in the middle of Porto — and it's built for one thing: getting people talking to each other. You'll eat together, hang out at the bar together, end up on the same activity together — that's kind of the whole point.

The bar is where most nights actually start, staff included. There's always something going on, but nothing you're forced into — just enough to get you out of your room and into the same room as everyone else.

Beds are simple: dorms if you're travelling light, private rooms if you want your own space. The garden and pergola work as a hangout spot whenever the weather's on your side. Step outside and you're already on Santa Catarina — shops, cafés, and the rest of the city a short walk away.
It's less "hostel," more "house full of people you haven't met yet."

The lady at reception was quite friendly however the place was filled with bedbugs and a few cockroaches. The place itself was very pretty but on closer inspection it seems to be falling apart (taps falling off and such), also the AC didn't seem to be working in my room. I managed to move rooms but still had issues with bedbugs.. if i had to recommend anything is to close the place for a week, replace mattresses and fix up the amenities, staff are lovely so maybe its a issue with management?

Had a great time staying here. I spoke to Diogo, Thais, Heneta, and Lucas - they were all great on reception. Very easy to meet people and make some friends. Nice outdoor area. Comfortable rooms. I did have an issue with bedbugs but they came and sorted everything for me, moving my bed, cleaning my clothes, and boiling them off my bag with a crazy steam gun thing. The owner of the hostel came down to do that himself. I would stay again!

I had such a great time staying at Rosalma Hostel in Porto! I only stayed for one night, which was such a pity, because I would have loved to stay longer. The location is fantastic—super central and perfect for exploring Porto. The hostel itself is beautiful, with a really cool vibe and an amazing garden. The dorm was lovely, the bed was very comfortable, and everything was very clean, including all the common facilities. But above all, the staff are incredible! Everyone was so welcoming and friendly and re
