About

We might have the best location in all of Guayaquil, right on the Malecon within minutes from Las Penas, the new fancy bar and cafe area in Panama street, across from the botanical garden, and very close to aerovia and La Perla.

Apart from that, at Malecon Guesthouse we have big beds (105 cm) with new mattresses. Our hostel has a shared lounge and social area to work. Tv in the big living room and a nice balcony facing the Malecon Garden and the Guayas River.

If you arrive in the morning, you are welcome to store your luggage here and use the living room and the balcony. And sometimes you can get your bed before the official check in. But depends of occupancy!

the host is very nice, kind, and helpful. the location is good, near the beautiful waterfront. no visible entrance, the room was quite dirty, needed changing of the bed lining. no ac but at night its ok with a fan. the bathrooms were dirty but I guess it depends on the people staying as well.

Kaj was an exceptional host, so so helpful the whole stay. The location is in a lovely safe area of Guayaquil, and conveniently close to the airport too.

decent hostel for the price & location. the entrance door is a fire/earthquake fire hazard for sure though because you need a key to get in/out & its an old lock that doesn't easily open
