The legendary Straw Hat Hostel crew is back, now conquering Oaxaca! This is our second location in Mexico, and we’re here to serve surf, party, and chill vibes all in one epic package.

🌴 We started in Tulum back in December 2019 as a party hostel, and now we’re upping our game with the ultimate mix of surf, fun, and relaxation. Located between Zicatela and La Punta, we’re only one block from the beach and right in the heart of the action.

Rooms fit for every vibe:

🌅 Private rooms (10 total) on the 3rd floor with unreal views of the Pacific Ocean.

🛏️ Mixed & female dorms on the 2nd floor with extra bathrooms and showers for convenience.

🏠 8-bed dorms on the 1st floor near the co-working space and kitchen.


All rooms come with:

Air conditioning (yes, we’ve got your back).

Lockers to keep your stuff safe.

En suite toilets with hot showers.

Rules of the Straw Hat Jungle:
This is where fun happens—but it’s gotta be done right!

Cancellation Policy: Cancel 3 day before arrival or get charged for the entire booking. No refunds for changes during your stay. In case of no show, you will be charged the entire amount of your reservation.

Non-Refundable Bookings: These are charged at any moment. If you cancel, no refund. You can ask for different dates, paying the difference amount if the price is higher (no refund if it's lower).

Check-In/Out: Check-in from 3 PM to 11 PM. Check-out by 11 AM (don’t make us chase you).
Late Checkout subject to availability: until 2PM, paying 50% of the price of 1 night.

Payments: Cash or card. We may pre-authorize your card before arrival.

Taxes: Not included (5% city tax + 16% VAT).

Breakfast: Not included (but trust us, our restaurant is worth it).

No Curfew: You’re free to party responsibly.

No Alcohol Under 18: Nope, no exceptions.

Pets: Allowed in private rooms (with a request & extra charge).


As the sun sets, our bar turns up. Think trendy beats, cold drinks, and poolside parties that go deep into the night. Whether you’re dancing, chilling, or sipping a cold coconut, we promise memories you’ll never forget (or maybe you will, thanks to our cocktails).
