Welcome to éthic étapes CIS Narbonne. The CIS is situated in the heart of Narbonne where, you can visit a variety of historic monuments and cultural heritage sites (Saint-Just Cathedral from the 13th century, museums, Canal du Midi, ...). But also you can enjoy your time at the theatre, cinema, bars and clubs, sport facilities...

You can discover wine treasures of the region (Languedoc, Corbières, Fitou, Minervois, la Clape), wander around the 'Pays Cathare' with many castles and mansions, spend some times at the beach (15km away from the town)
The centre was opened in 1969 and since then it has become well-known for its hospitality and a number of activities offered by the MJC (youth and culture center) seated in the same building.
In last years, more and more young people from abroad have been coming to spend couple of days or just travelling through tour lovely town.

Belle étape, grand établissement qui accueille des jeunes et ouverts aux individus aussi moins jeunes. Une clé à se repartir pour trois dans la chambre. Un personnel adorable, et qui donne beaucoup.

Very weird hostel but only one in town that I could find. It’s like a community centre or something and has a weird vibe to it. Went to supermarket at 20:45 and got back at 21:00 and doors were locked. Luckily someone was cleaning up so heard the door bell but had to wait a bit till they came. Haven’t stayed in a hostel with a curfew that early before. Also check out is at 9:00 which I think is way to early. Close to train station though.

Loved my stay here! Was only passing through for one night but it was perfect. I felt super safe it’s located essentially inside of a community center. Located a short walk from the cutest part of town. If you’re looking to makes friend this might not be the place for you, I did not encounter anyone else staying there except mayb a school field trip. Although I’m not sure this would be the town for you in general. I absolutely loved it though and wish I could have stayed longer.
