With 2 shared mixed dorms, 1 family room (Quadruple room) and 6 private rooms, there is something for everyone.

We creates a family-like atmosphere that is emphasized by its amazing staff. Not a party type hostel, people who stay here also have some privacy to relax from day time activities or even from some night out parties. At chillax Hostel you can find a comfy common area where guests can meet and have some nice chat to each other with board games, pool table, a fridge to store all your food, and most importantly, free hi-speed Wi-Fi throughout the building.

Room smelt of wee and beds felt like a hospital bay with no windows and underground. The staff member behind the desk was quite abrupt and insistent on us booking a more expensive trip which we didn’t want to do. Had to stand our ground to do what we wanted. Tour was great but we really didn’t like the hostel and were pleased to leave after a night.

Hostel itself was fine, comfortable and clean enough for a short stay. The staff however were very unhelpful and blunt. I fell very ill during the night of my stay here and they refused to give me a refund for my national park trip (booked through them) and had a lack of sympathy. I could barely move from the bed, yet I was simply told “no” for a request of either a late checkout or any other available room. Falling ill alone while travelling is hard, the staff made my experience more difficult.

Lovely hostel in good location. We booked a tour of the national park and organised a stay on the floating bungalows through the hostel. It was a super easy process. The breakfast from cafe in the hostel was delicious. We had organised our own transport from the national park to our next destination but that fell through. Fortunately, chillax hostel were super helpful and got us sorted that day with another transfer! Definitely would recommend this hostel.
