About

Jardin Secreto Tayrona is a permaculture homestay amongst the fruit trees and monkeys in the jungle near Tayrona National Park in Santa Marta, Colombia.

Our location is a 15–20 minutes walk from the town of Calabazo, where you’ll find the park entrance, small shops and local restaurants. We're surrounded by tropical forest, nurseries, private gardens, homesteads and other eco-tourism businesses; that are spread amongst the mountains, between huge natural stones, and fresh running water it’s a peaceful space designed for connection — with nature, like minded travelers, and yourself.

We offer a few unique accommodations, where you'll expect monkeys in the trees, birds at sunrise, and star-filled nights. The options include a private en-suite built into massive natural stone, a breathable cabana with a balcony and camping area where tents and beds are positioned beneath a palm roof.

Our shared spaces include a natural stone bathroom and poolside dining area, hammocks, permaculture gardens in progress, and plenty of places to relax. Breakfast is included daily, and we often host small gatherings, yoga sessions, and community dinners.

We’re about 1 hour via public buses that run frequently from Santa Marta and other tourist hot spots like Minca, Buritaca and Palomino.

Jardin Secreto is ideal for travelers seeking a tranquil, nature-immersed stay with strong community vibes — not a party hostel, but a social place to recharge, connect, and experience the magic of the Colombian Caribbean jungle.
