Hostal Punta El Zonte is a relaxed beachfront surf hostel in El Zonte, just steps from the world-class right-hand point break and less than 100m from a left-hand beach break. Wake up with the sunrise, watch the sunset from the same hammock, fall asleep to the sound of waves, and spend your days surfing, relaxing, or connecting with travelers from around the world.
We’re a locally owned, laid-back and social hostel with a friendly vibe and plenty of local knowledge. Perfect for backpackers, solo travelers, and surf lovers looking to slow down and experience El Zonte’s easygoing beach life. Surf breaks, cafes, and sunsets are all right outside the door.

We offer simple, comfortable private rooms with ocean views, ideal for soaking up sea breezes and panoramic coastline views. Our 6-bed dorm features comfortable beds, air conditioning, and an en-suite bathroom.
Guests can relax in our outdoor common areas with hammocks, chairs, and seating designed to unwind after a surf. Our pool sits just meters from the ocean, making it the perfect place to cool off while watching the waves roll in.

Hostal Punta El Zonte sits at the tip of the El Zonte point, offering one of the best locations in town. Just outside the hostel you’ll find local tiendas, bars, and restaurants within walking distance.
El Zonte has a chill nightlife with occasional live music. For guests looking for a bigger party scene, El Tunco is just 15 minutes away.

Guest Policies

A refund Policy of 3 days prior to arrival.
Smoking: Smoking is strictly prohibited in rooms, designated smoke-free areas, and common spaces.
Respect for Others: We ask all guests to respect fellow visitors and our staff. Any rude language or inappropriate behavior will not be tolerated.
Pool & Facilities: The pool and other amenities are available exclusively for registered guests.
Prohibited Items: Drugs, illegal substances, and weapons are strictly forbidden on the premises.
Damage Responsibility: Any damages to your room or the facilities will be the responsibility of the guest. The cost of repairs or replacements will be added to your final bill.
Non-Refundable Policy: In case of violations of these policies, we reserve the right to refuse service without refunding any payments made.

Payment & Locker Fee

Payment: All payments are to be made upon arrival.
Locker Fee: A refundable deposit of $10 will be required for locker use.
