This is a great hostel in a beautiful older building. They have a free breakfast where you can try local foods. You do have to walk a bit to get to the bus stops, and the hostel is at the bottom of a steep hill. It's within a few km of the beautiful Botanical Gardens, cathedral Sydney tower, Opera House, and ferries. You can get on a bus at Oxford St. and go straight to many beaches. The hostel was quiet at night. My only complaint is that the kitchen and dining area were quite cramped.
