Ceylon Nature Hostel Kitulgala is a Eco friendly hostel near the riverbeds of the renowned “Kelani river”. In the vicinity of the hostel, the river is flowing down, creating an amazing scene throughout the day.

For about three minutes on your way to the hostel starting from the main entrance you can enjoy a special walking path that includes two small bridges and lovely walkways in the river bend.
While making your way to the hostel through this magnificent trail, you can sense the distinction and uniqueness of this location.

All the eco-rooms and tent rooms are situated in the river bed, giving a soothing sound and a view of the river throughout the day Which provides you with the ideal environment for yoga and meditation, away from the bustle of the city, leaving you feeling at ease and composed.
Accommodation at wooden made eco room and tent room in scenic/ forest Kelani River edge have river faced balcony and attached bathroom with hot water facility.

You can observe many native birds, fish, plants, and other critters in this lovely environment while enjoying a delicious breakfast.

Observing many of the country's endemic bird species, such as the Sri Lanka Orange-Billed Babbler, Chestnut-Backed Owlet, Blue Magpie, Green Billed Coucal, and Malabar Trogon, as well as reptiles like the green pit viper and earless lizard, as well as a variety of butterflies, is considered to be one of a nature lover's main interests when visiting Kithulgala.

The following activities can be done with 100% safety in this hostel area.
1. Rafting - Experience white water rafting in the picturesque Kelani River, covering 5 major rapids & 4 minor rapids.

2. Canyoning - Trekking, Sliding down modern inclined 07 meter water with safety gear, in to the rock pool.

3. Confidence jumping - A confidence jump to beautiful natural rock pool, Swimming in the cool and clean waters of the rain forest.

4. Zip lining - Adventurous River crossing with the safety of body harness (600m length
& 30m height)

5. Water abseiling - A 100 ft controlled abseil down Sandun Ella Waterfall, to enjoy an awesome view of the panoramic mountains in Kithulgala.

6.Outdoor Camping - Fresh air scented with the beauty of the woods, evenings around camp fires, and a night sky full of stars, waking up to the sunshine reflecting from waterfalls with crystal waters or river banks in the green woods. They arrange one or more overnight stays in standard camping tent-houses, away from busy home life, at a location in Kitulgala which is totally different by weather and atmosphere, from any other place in the country, but also in a very small distance from Colombo, the main city of Sri Lanka. Further, there is an island in front of the hostel named 'Peraketiya' island which is full of natural beauty. Anyone can take a boat ride to see the beauty of that island.
