Welcome Adventure Wanaka Hostel! part of the Adventure Hostels family.

❓Catering to independent travellers from around the world, we are a small-medium sized hostel of 70 beds - the perfect number for keeping a family atmosphere which is still fun and vibrant. Adventure Wanaka offers relaxed ski-chalet vibes, where it's effortlessly easy to meet fellow travellers in our expansive outdoor spaces and cosy common areas. We are a great jumping off point for activities such as hiking Roy's Peak and visiting Wanaka town. AW was recently renovated after a full-refit, opening in late 2023.

📍AW is the most centrally located accommodation in town, you are just moments from Wanaka town centre, and 2 minute walk from Lake Wanaka beach. At night we guarantee you'll sleep soundly as there are no bars directly by us.

😴 Our spacious and well designed rooms feature:
🔹Custom made hand-built timber bunks, with ultra-comfortable innerspring mattresses.
🔹Two pillows + freshly laundered linen, all made up and are ready to hop straight into.
🔹 USB charging ports & electrical outlets and reading lights
🔹 Privacy curtains and towels are included as standard
🔹 Secure under-bed storage lockers under each bed.
🔹 Rooms include A/C, heat pump and free high-speed wifi

🌞 AW's outdoor spaces are the best in town, with wrap around deck, AW is a great place to enjoy a drink in the sun or to enjoy some slow flow Yoga.

🙋‍♀️ The guest lounge, chill out room and dining areas are super spacious for such a small hostel.

💻 Work nomadically or just touch up your resume in our functional workspace with great views of the town.

🍲 In one of the country's best hostel communal kitchens, you'll be cooking up a feast where you'll find it superbly equipped featuring everything from crockpot's and crockery to salad knives and spices!

❤️Our wonderfully friendly staff, whom all live on-site with our guests, can help you plan your activities and time in Wanaka. They even run hostel activities several nights-a-week for you to meet your fellow explorers. Check out the linkups we have planned during your visit.

🔒We have separate storage/locker rooms with one for luggage of those guests arriving and departing, and another for secure bicycle parking and ski & snowboard storage.

⭐ AW also offers loads of free stuff and even a simple laundry service, where our team will wash, dry and return your clothes to you!

⚠️Standard Policies:

🔹AW is a small hostel, our reception is open from 8.30am to 7.30pm
Please note, opening hours may vary between peak and off-peak season.

🔹Late check-ins are not possible without prior notice. So, if you will arrive after 7.30pm, please email or call us 2-3 days before you arrive, and we will provide instructions on how to self-check-in.

🔹Cancellations must be made more than 48 hours prior to the day of arrival. Cancellations made within 48 hours from the date of arrival will incur additional charges equivalent to the first night's accommodation. No Shows will be charged the first nights accommodation.

🔹Check-in is available after 8.30am, however please note that beds/rooms will not be ready until after 2pm. We have storage facilities for the interim and common areas are free for use.

🔹AW operates with maximum stay policies.
▪️Summer season - 10-night stay in any 30 day period.
▪️Winter season - 21-nights across the Ski season.

🔹We do not allow minors under the age of 17 in shared rooms, with or without guardians. Families are welcome, but would be required to book an entire room.

🔹Please note that we cannot always guarantee that guests from a group booking will be in the same room or any booking will be in the same room for the duration of the stay, though we will always try our best!
