TLDR avoid at all costs.Hands down the worst hostel I have ever stayed at. Owner seemed nice over whatsapp and staff who greeted us were friendly and accommodated a late arrival but the positives stop there. Lack of bedsheets so we had to share a single bed in the 16 people dorm. Dirty, crowded and noisy. The kitchen and bathroom were a tip. Tried to complain the next morning but staff refused and we felt uncomfortable so paid and left. In short stay here if you fancy a walk on the wild side.

This was a very intense and different hostel to stay in! PROS: the owner Rasta is a very nice and kind man. You can meet some other good travellers there. CONS: the vibe can make you feel uncomfortable as it feels more like a house but you're a random guest as staff are in their own bubble. It can feel very chaotic and not peaceful. Some long term guests can make you feel uncomfortable. And people steal your food from the fridge. Also the cleanliness/facilities need to be improved.

Very bad experience. The hostel was extremely dirty, with a strong smell of urine in the common areas and dorms. The hygiene was so poor that I did not feel comfortable taking a shower. I also felt unsafe: late at night, the host entered the dorm and touched my mattress without warning. I left immediately! even tho it was 5 am in salvador. I strongly do not recommend this hostel, especially for solo female travelers. If i could put 0 stars i would have.
