HI Canmore - Alpine Club of Canada

The Canmore Alpine Hostel is a hostel located 4.5 km from downtown Canmore on a sunny, south-facing bench overlooking the Bow Valley. Whether you are skiing or ice climbing in the winter, hiking or climbing in the summer, or looking for a comfortable stop on your journey through the Rockies, the HI Canmore Clubhouse is your perfect base for your mountain adventures.

Our facilities at the Canmore Alpine Hostel offer accommodation to suit any traveller. The main hostel is best suited to small parties and individuals, the Bell Cabin is perfect for small groups (up to 12), and the Boswell Cabin offers private units for those looking for a little more privacy.

The hostel sleeps up to 31 people in seven rooms (4-7 people per room). It has a large kitchen for all your self-catering needs, a relaxing lounge and a deck with amazing views of the Bow Valley and the Three Sisters Mountains.

The Bell Cabin sleeps 12 in a private cabin with 2 bedrooms. It has a spacious living room and kitchen and a private balcony. The unit has drive-up access in the summer. In the winter, the road to the Bell Cabin is closed and you will need to walk ~100 metres to the building.

The Boswell Cabin is a duplex with two separate units, each holding up to 6 people. This private cabin is perched on a hill offering spectacular views of the Three Sisters mountains. The Boswell Cabin is perfect for families and small groups who are seeking a bit more privacy. Each unit has its private entrance, kitchen, bathroom, and two bedrooms (each with a queen bed and a single bed). The reward of views and privacy requires a short walk with stairs to the top of a small hill. In the winter, the road to the Boswell Cabin is closed and you will need to walk ~100 metres up the road.

The Canmore Alpine Hostel - Alpine Club of Canada Policy and Conditions:

Cancellation policy: 48 hours before arrival. In case of a late cancellation or no-show, you will be charged the first night of your stay.

Check-in from 15:00 to 20:00.
Check out from 00:00 to 10:00.

Payment is due at the time of the booking by credit card. A full refund less a 6% administrative fee will be processed in case of booking cancellations within 48 hours before the arrival. In the case of a no-show or cancellations with less than 48 hours' notice the guest will not receive a refund. Taxes included.

Breakfast is not included.

Building access: With a paid invoice, you will receive a personalized door code for access to the main building and dorm room via email on the day of your arrival

Property access: We are located just outside of Canmore. Taxi services do come to our property.
