Amazing family, great vibes, and incredibly helpful. Even though the WiFi was broken, they let me use their hotspots until it was up and working again which was HUGE for me as I have been working remotely. Not only this, I felt as though I became part of the family and even helped cook jackfruit curry for dinner with coconut roti. It was such a unique and cool experience and I felt so lucky to have connected with everyone. They set up an elephant safari for the group of us that was there also!

My stay at this hostel felt like a send from heaven, no joke. Living with Dasun and his family really changed my perspective on what the word community really means. The most welcoming and helpfupeople and an amazing eco friendly home - you really feel at one with nature and people here. It was also the best value for money hostel I’ve been in and food was also the best here in town…and one of my favourite from all of Sri Lanka (free breakfast too!). I’ll be back. God bless you Dasun and family!

The hostel is run by a super kind and welcoming family who make you feel at home from the first moment. The guy was extremely friendly, always smiling, and very helpful with all my questions. He gave great recommendations about what to do and see in the area. The shared room was perfectly fine, and the bathroom was spacious and clean. The price is super cheap and includes breakfast, which is simple but nice. The only downside is the reggae music playing all day and sometimes late at night.
