Really nice hostel, very clean and good location. Staff is super friendly, especially Gaby! The hostel is not very social but really nice to stay at and relax, for example before the east java tour :)

Checked in during a brief citywide internet outage and staff apologized repeatedly despite it being entirely out of their control. Building had solid concrete walls that kept the dorm noticeably cooler than the street outside. Heat spiked hard by midday, staff recommended sticking to shaded routes if heading out during that window. Common area had a small shelf of board games, dug one out with another guest just to pass the time until wifi came back. Left with no real complaints despite the rocky start.

Bromo sunrise was magical despite the freezing wind, and Tumpak Sewu's roaring curtain of water gave me full-on goosebumps. Hostel is compact but cleverly designed lots of hanging racks for wet gear and a shoe drying station. Common area has a projector for movie nights. Staff remembered our names and gave us local sim card tips. Bunks are creaky but cozy, and the Wi-Fi reaches every corner. Wouldn't change a single thing about this stay.
