Checked in during a heatwave locals kept commenting on, dust hanging visibly in the afternoon light. Staff had standing fans placed strategically around the common area, made lounging there far more bearable than staying in the room. Bedding felt freshly laundered, crisp in a way that suggested actual line-drying rather than a rushed machine cycle. Good location in the city center, close to many food stalls and cafes. The WiFi is fast and reliable, which was helpful since I needed to do some work on my laptop. They also helped arrange a day trip to Tumpaksewu Waterfall with a nice driver at a reasonable price. Bathrooms are kept clean and the hot water works fine. A solid place to stay if you're visiting Malang

Really nice hostel, very clean and good location. Staff is super friendly, especially Gaby! The hostel is not very social but really nice to stay at and relax, for example before the east java tour :)
