Escape the ordinary and stay at Bosque Seco, a unique eco-hostel nestled in the middle of Colombia’s Tatacoa Desert. Our eco-lodge is surrounded by 15 hectares of tropical dry forest under restoration—a peaceful sanctuary for nature lovers, stargazers, and adventurers alike.

A truly special place, which is run by an incredibly friendly and fair family who make you feel at home immediately. Food and drinks are delicious and very affordable, and there is also a great, inexpensive lunch spot right next door. The location is amazing, in the middle of the desert, with a pool and unbelievable stars at night. They also offer bike rentals to explore the area. The only reason there are still few reviews is because the hostel is quite new. It absolutely deserves many more.

Incredible place to stay in the Tatacoa desert. Peaceful forested area that Darío is restoring, perfectly positioned to explore the red and grey deserts, with breakfast and optional evening meal. Excellent hosts who are friendly and accommodating with lots of info about the local area. Fully recommend to anyone thinking of staying in Tatacoa. We booked for 1 night and ended up staying 3.
