When I arrived I was left outside waiting for someone to answer the door. I rang the bell several times and called the property but no one answered. I was left on the street as a solo female traveller in an area that did not feel safe. I didn’t want to hang around for much longer so I left to find another hostal.

This place is the bare minimum a hostel could offer. It is definetly enough to spend a night or two during layover but I would definetly not advise you to stay there during a longer stay in Santa Marta. Its great for the bare minimum but there are no Lockers for your stuff, the showers are just a tube sticking out from the wall and there are just 3 toilets for the entire hostel.
