Your hosts, Tero and Merja, will welcome you warmly and make you feel all is good. Our hostel offers the perfect place to relax and recharge with yourself in a beautiful natural setting. Forest Hostel is surrounded by the protected forest of Pääkslahti, offering walking trails of varying lengths and difficulty levels. A lake with swimming opportunities is just a 10-minute walk away, and our property provides charming views of the Finnish countryside.
Forest Hostel is ideal for solo travelers or small groups looking to disconnect from everyday stress and focus on well-being. Spend time in our peaceful, 100-year-old traditional log house (300 sq m), which combines historic charm with modern facilities: a shared kitchen, dining room, wellness space, a cozy common room with fireplace, two separate toilets, two showers, and a sauna. The entire upper floor is dedicated to accommodation, featuring 10 private sleeping pods for each guest.
Our garden with a large terrace pergola is perfect for gathering with friends, reading a book, or simply enjoying the forest views.
Nearby, grocery stores and shops are just 10 minutes away by car in Vihti village.

Forest Hostel – Terms & Conditions
1. Scope
These Terms & Conditions apply to all individual guests staying at Forest Hostel. By making a reservation, the guest accepts these terms.
2. Reservation & Length of Stay
Minimum stay: 2 nights
Maximum stay: 14 nights
3. Cancellation Policy
Free cancellation up to 3 days before arrival
In case of a late cancellation or No Show, the first night of the stay will be charged
4. Check-in & Check-out
Check-in: 2:00 PM - 8:00 PM
Check-out: by 12:00 PM
Please inform us in advance if you expect to arrive outside the stated check-in hours.
5. Payment
Payment upon arrival.
Accepted payment methods: credit cards and debit cards.
All applicable taxes are included in the accommodation price.
6. Services & Additional Costs
Breakfast and other meals are not included, unless agreed separately.
Pick-up service from the nearest bus stop is available by prior arrangement and is not included in the accommodation price.
Sauna, activities, and guided experiences are available for an additional fee.
Prices for additional services are always agreed upon in advance.
7. House Rules & Guest Responsibility
Guests are expected to respect the property, nature, other guests, and staff.
Guests are responsible for any damage caused intentionally or through negligence.
Forest Hostel is not responsible for loss or damage to personal belongings, unless caused by the hostel’s negligence.
8. Safety & Use of Facilities
Guests must follow all house rules and safety instructions.
Temporary interruptions (e.g. maintenance work or utility outages) that are beyond the hostel’s control do not entitle guests to compensation.
Guests must immediately report any defects, damages, or safety concerns to the host.
9. Minors
An adult must accompany all underage guests.
10. Pets
Pets are only allowed by prior agreement.
11. Force Majeure
Forest Hostel is not liable for cancellations, interruptions, or damages caused by events beyond reasonable control, such as extreme weather conditions, natural events, power outages, or official authority restrictions.
12. Right to Cancel or Modify a Stay
Forest Hostel reserves the right to cancel or modify a reservation in the event of serious health or safety risks, or if guest behaviour poses a risk to other guests, staff, or the property.
In such cases, any unused nights will be refunded.
13. Applicable Law & Dispute Resolution
These Terms & Conditions are governed by Finnish law. Any disputes will primarily be resolved through mutual negotiation. If no agreement is reached, disputes may be resolved in the competent court of Western Uusimaa District Court, Finland.
