This place did not have working showers on a lot of floors. The only consistently working bathroom facilities were the ground floor bathrooms. The showers were never cleaned so there was hair at the bottom of the stalls for days. The toilets were never topped up with toilet paper and were never cleaned. People put used toilet paper in the bins so the cubicles always smelled. The floors had huge holes in the them covered in carpet and the carpet had grass and dirt strewn throughout the place.

Although the staff was lovely there was a lingering damp smell and it got worse as the day went on. We ended up staying at the Holiday Inn across the road- SO WORTH IT!

Liked: decent breakfast and location. Disliked: cleanliness is generally really poor for a hostel with such high guest turnover. The shower extractors are covered in dust, there were old blood stains in the second-floor women's bathroom, and the capsule had visible dirt. The fridge is overcrowded, rooms have very little ventilation, and much of the hostel smells stale and enclosed, with some areas much worse than others. Staff could also be easier to reach when you don't arrive at reception time
