Any other day of the week except Friday nights check-ins are available from: 8:00 p.m through 10: 00 p.m., check out is until 6: 00 p.m. of the following day.

You may be wondering why check-ins are so late? It is because we do not have enough sales just yet to pay staff to check you in earlier -for this reason we hold other jobs during the day.
Caribbean Boutique Hostel is the perfect place for long stays or if you are going to spend a few days to know San Jose downtown before heading to a touristic area its also the best place for you to stay in San Jose before your airplane departure.

About us: We are an Ethiopian Jewish descendant family. Our mother is a housewife, and our father is a farmer. By the grace of God -The living God-, my sibling and I built Caribbean Boutique Hostel, - The Hostel with the Caribbean Vibe- “Chill Vibe, Beach comfort”. If you are ever in the San Jose, Costa Rica area and you are looking for a place with a chill vibe and with and a beach feeling in the city that is affordable, cozy, and comfortable we would be honored to host you.

Caribbean Boutique Hostel is close to supermarkets, fast food locals, skate parks and gyms. We are also few meters away from 4 Reinas de Tibas’s park bus terminal, where you can breathe fresh air in the mornings while jogging or exercising with friends and family from the area, The Plaza is where you can play soccer (mejengas) with the locals in the afternoons.
Neighborhood: it is safe, locals are very friendly and are exited to meet new people from around the world.(Although it is safe, please do not use your cell phone at night and be modest and discreet when handling money) -Like any other city in the world.

Access : It is very easy to get to Caribbean Boutique Hostel, you’ll see, if you are going from:
a. San Jose downtown to Caribbean Boutique Hostel:

If it is your first time visiting our place please enter Habitaciones Smith -Former name-in Waze, Uber or Didi and it will take you there.
By Train: 8 min ₡550.00 colones ($1.20 US dollars) Please check INCOFER train schedule and go to Estación el Atlantico and get off in Colima’s train stop, from there use the App. of your choice Google Maps or Waze and type in Habitaciones Smith -former name-and it will take you to the property, (the train stop is 800 meters away from the property).
By Bus from San Jose: 15 min bus stop is located at Avenida 5 and Avenida 7, between Calle 0 and Calle 2 (reference points: costado Noreste del parqueo de la ANDE o cerca de las oficinas de Correos de Costa Rica), ₡ 460.00 colones ($1.00). If you are in San Jose Downtown you need to go close to Correos de Costa Rica San Jose downtown and ask: where is 4 Reinas de Tibas bus stop and take any of these buses:
- Cuatro Reinas de Tibas x el Parque, stops in front of the premises.
- Cuatro Reinas de Tibas x Las Reinas and Cuatro Reinas x el Cruce, get off in the last stop, at The Plaza use Google Maps or Waze to type in Habitaciones Smith to walk to the property. Before you get there, let us know you are on your way so we can be on the look out for you..
b. From Caribbean Boutique Hostel- to San Jose
Enter Habitaciones Smith in Waze, Uber or Didi and then the destination where you need to go to.
By Train: walk from Carribean Boutique Hostel to Colima’s train stop (800 meters away from the property) and get off in Estación del Ferrocarril al Atlántico train stop from there walk to San Jose downtown or Barrio Escalante Gastronomic area or other places and have fun.
By Bus: 15 minutes ₡ 460.00 colones ($1.00) (You can pay the bus by cash or card) walk from Caribbean Boutique Hostel -CBH- to 4 Reinas de Tibas bus terminal (at The Plaza), which is 150 meters away from the property and take a bus, any will take you to San Jose downtown.

2.Comer en el Mercado Central: Probar un casado, ceviche o un helado tradicional en La Sorbetera.
