About

Welcome to Auberge L’Apéro!
As one of Montreal’s longest-running hostels, we’ve been welcoming guests with warmth and affordability for over 15 years. We’re not about luxury—we’re about value. Our facilities are simple and well-used, yet always clean and functional. What truly makes us special is our unbeatable downtown location—just steps from major attractions, public transit, nightlife, and festivals—saving you time, energy, and transportation costs.
Unlike party hostels, we offer a quiet, restful environment with spacious beds so you can recharge and make the most of your journey. If you’re looking for boutique-style luxury, we may not be the right fit. But if you value affordability, convenience, and a safe place to rest between adventures, Auberge L’Apéro is the perfect choice.
We welcome both short- and long-term travellers, creating a diverse community of guests from all over the world. Every stay is unique, but what unites everyone here is the same goal: enjoying Montreal without spending a fortune on accommodation. To make your stay easier, we provide large personal lockers and even offer storage rental after checkout.
There’s no curfew on how late you come back—you’re free to enjoy Montreal’s lively nightlife at your own pace. Best of all, at L’Apéro you’re more than just a guest—you’re part of our family. Many travellers return year after year for our warm hospitality and personal touch.

There is a 3.5% surcharge for Visa/Mastercard/AmericanExpress.

Not at all as represented in the images, much more expensive than the value, dirty, dark, leaks in the ceiling, odd smells, a lot of the place breaking down, unusual people who wouldn't leave you alone, and cramped. Staff delayed me multiple days, at one point giving away my reserved bed to some other guy. Put a huge damper on my trip to Montreal, but was too late and too expensive to change at the last minute.
