We are located in the old-town, near Alfama, St. George Castle and Graca. This Is Lisbon Hostel is a oasis in a traditional neighborhood, at a walking distance from all major attractions in Lisbon such as Tram 28, Rossio Square and Flea Market. Our XIX century building has a unique terrace and view over Lisbon rooftops, perfect to relax after a full day of exciting discoveries.

Our facilities were renovated and refurbished to guarantee maximum comfort and cleanliness. We have central heating in every room and daily housekeeping. There are separated bathrooms for men and for women, hot showers 24hours a day, common room, free computers and free wifi Internet, laundry services, and free use of the kitchen.

Our 7 rooms, named after Lisbon themes, have plenty space, heaters and free lockers for a cosy stay in Lisbon.
Our outstanding staff serves breakfast for 4€ between 8am and 10.30am., organizes free walking tours, trips to Sintra and Caparica Beach as well as Portuguese homemade dinners, brunches and Portuguese lessons. We also organize yoga in our terrace and surf classes.We also have free maps, travel guides and advises!

Cancellation policy: If you cancel 48-hour before arrival, cancellation is free of charge.
In case of late cancellation or no-show the full amount will be charged.

This is Lisbon Hostel offers a fantastic terrace with incredible city views, perfect for socialising. Guests consistently praise the exceptionally friendly and helpful staff. The location is great, though be prepared for the many steps to reach it. Some recent reviews mention that bathrooms could be updated and that rooms can get warm.

I personally wouldn’t stay here again. I don’t like the concept of a hostel not having a key for building entry or to one’s room, and having to ring the doorbell to have the staff let me in. In addition to this, I was put in a room which was directly adjacent to public stairs, and a street, with windows that were not able to shut, so it was very easy to hear people, cars, etc. The top bunks had no curtains, and I was not let aware of any lockers until another guest had pointed them out to.

All the staff was super friendly and helpful. I really recommend getting the breakfast for 4 euros, it had a lot of options and the staff can cook you some eggs for the same price which was amazing. The only thing I didn't like was the bed, a bit uncomfortable and very thin pillow. The top bunks didn't have curtains and the lower bunks had a very small one that covered the face maybe. The lockers are outside the rooms and they fit a backpack and some loose stuff, not lugagge. Great stay!!

There were no room keys so the dorm room stayed open the whole night ?? And when someone wanted to come inside they had to ring the bell. Which means that I woke up every time someone came in because the door was open. The beds were not very comfortable and no curtains or privacy at all. There were no lookers in my room ? Not even for small things. And why are there no female dorms ?!
