About

Please note that check-in takes place at the following address: Via Paolina, 20, at my cafe.

Established in 1990, Rose Santa Maria has come to be one of the most popular accommodations in Rome and a well-known place to stay for young travelers. Since its opening it has been recommended in all the main guide books.

The structure is located in Rione Monti, a lively neighborhood close to the Colosseum and the Roman Forum. Just down the hill you will find the charming cobble-stone streets, Monti proper, complete with fountain for nighttime gatherings. A trendy area, it boasts artisan and vintage shops, a plethora of dining options and cafes, and bustling crowds comprised of residents, artists, tourists, and other colorful folk.

Rose Santa Maria is a calm, clean, budget-friendly place to crash in the heart of Rome. It is located on the fourth floor of a 19th-century close to Via Cavour, one of Rome’s main roads. Despite being a small property, with no common room and no kitchen, our guests appreciate the cozy, homey atmosphere.

Several transport options, such as metro, buses, trams, taxi stands, and tour buses, are at your fingertips. Rose Santa Maria is easily accessible from Termini central train station, just a few minutes' walk from the structure. Termini hosts bus and train transport to and from Rome's airports.

Thank you and enjoy Rome.

The place is “OK” if you’re really looking for a private place with a convenient location on a tight budget. But the cleanliness left a lot to be desired. The showerhead was broken, and there was something in the air of the room that constantly made my fiancé and I sneeze and congested the whole time we were in there but would be fine once we were outside. The guy that runs this place also runs Poalina Rooms and requires cash only payments once you arrive. Check in is at an abandoned cafe

Things I liked: balcony view. Locks for large lockers in the room. Location - walkable to train station (that takes you to the airport) and super walkable to dinners and sightseeing around Rome. Things I didn't like: balance paid in cash. Carrying my suitcase up 5 flights of stairs. Pillows. No soap in bathroom.

This property is very poor. The bathrooms were filthy with brown sludge all on the tiles. The shower had no hot water, and the shower head had no bracket holding it up so you had to hold the shower head and try to clean yourself at the same time. The bed itself was clean to a basic standard but sheets and towels are old and well worn, in need of replacement. The host was unsure of his own bookings and the check in process is sketchy. There are no amenities, it is simply a bed and cold water.
