About

La Unidad H opened in 2011, born from the vibe of a small café that grew into something bigger. Since then, it has become a space full of energy, moments, and community.

It’s your home for a few days: a youthful, welcoming place where you can rest, connect, and get inspired. We offer 5 private rooms that are clean, safe, and affordable, perfect for travelers seeking comfort on a budget.

Housed in a 70s-style building with character, La Unidad is ideal for coffee, books, new friends, or just relaxing. Located in a quiet area of Oaxaca’s Historic Center, only one block from the ADO bus station and 10 minutes from the Zócalo, it’s the perfect starting point for your adventure.

Very near to the bus station, but about 20 minutes walk from city centre. The toilets were decent, and the rooms and beds were clean enough. Went during Day of the Dead festivals, so there were quite a few people around.

The good: location, comfy beds, free towels. One guy who works there (could be the manager/ owner) is helpful. The bad: lack of bathrooms, hot water seemed to run out a lot, breakfast was not great. I definitely got "yesterday's bread" one morning. Additional comments: There is a cafe onsite that never seems to be open so you can use the kitchen to make your own meals. If you don't want noise, don't stay in the front room which is open to the entrance. You will hear everyone coming in/ out.
