really nice atmosphere for a party vibe, and wasn’t as loud upstairs as i was expecting it to be which was nice. the staff were very friendly, however the flush in our toilet was broken, which obviously created hygiene problems, and there is zero privacy in the bunk beds, which there are in other hostels. overall decent stay.

overall, the Flying Pig Downtown is a very good property to stay at. there was a good atmosphere in the hostels bar and the price of drinks/food was reasonable. The hostel was very social and I met travellers from all over the world. if you are someone who needs good sleep, don't stay in one of the large rooms as people come back all through the night, this was not a problem for me but would not be ideal for someone who doesn't want to be woken up if someone arrives back at 4am.

Highly rated and I can’t see why. It’s tiny, unclean and expensive. Location is central and the staff are nice enough. I hated everything else about it. There’s no privacy in the shared rooms/bunks. The bunks are cheap so your fellow sleeper will wake you up with every move they make. The toilets/ showers are so small and there wasn’t many of them. The door slamming will wake you up. I ended up leaving and booking Hans brinker. Had a much better experience there.
