About

The property is a very traditional old portuguese house with its quirky charme. It is very unique as it has a large roof terrace with a covered lounge area, a small bar and a very long table to eat, drink and socialize and a cute little patio on the ground floor with a natural buganvilia ceiling to give some shade and charme. It is situated right in the heart of the old town of Albufeira less than 5 minutes away from the beach and all the restaurants, bars, shops etc.

The famous Algarve coast with its natural cliff formations and hidden caves and amazing beaches are just 5 min. drive away. You can grab and Uber for about 5 Euros or take a walk for about 40 minutes to get there from the hostel. We also offer tours to get you to the best beaches the area has to offer.
Of course Albufeira is also famous for its night life. The bar street of our old town is just 5 minutes walk away and the even busier 'The Strip' or New Town is just a 5 minute taxi ride away for about 5 Euros per ride or take a walk for about half an hour.
Stroll the little streets of Albufeira to discover the charm of an once tiny little fisherman´s village.

Summary of traveller reviews

Orange Terrace Hostel in Albufeira is praised for its incredibly friendly and helpful staff, who often organise great activities like cliff jumping. Guests love the central yet quiet location, the clean facilities, and the lovely rooftop terrace perfect for socialising. It's ideal for solo travellers seeking a relaxed atmosphere.

Overall enjoyed our stay - the atmosphere was social and friendly, very communal. However, some areas are outdoors - nice but useless when it rained. Individual rooms did not have a lock, so anyone in the hostel could just walk in your room. Felt rushed out of the hostel when checking out, they started to remove linens before we even packed up fully (I think one of my shirts might have been taken by accident). Most staff were kind and helpful, but could be a bit standoffish when asking for help.

-no key to lock the door of the room -staff where extremely unwelcoming and every time i tried to talk to them they looked at me and my friends like they hated us and as if we were offending them from the moment they opened the door not to mention we did absolutely nothing wrong, rude or against any rules -staff created at very bad atmosphere, rushed us out even though we were on time to checkout and started to clean room before checkout -expensive -nice looking place though

older 23+ crowd and they keep to themselves. Really good place for large groups or solo time. Socialising is just a little bit harder if you’re solo as others were in groups. My only complaint is that hostel staff didn’t respect their own cleaning times. They would start cleaning before 11 and wake up every guest in the room, not just those checking out. I found this a rude and inconsiderate practice. Orange shorts guy was the loudest of them all.
