About

Common grounds – where travelling is a way of life, not just a vacation.

Situated in the best location (we’re just a 1-minute walk away from Pai bus station) with relaxed oasis-like feels 🌿, only a skip away from the beating heart of Pai walking street. We are undoubtedly the best base from which to easily explore and enjoy Pai.

What we are about...

We all once started our journey in a hostel…

The Common Grounds family welcomes all travelers; the young and the old, the artists, musicians, and remote workers. All of you making your way through and looking for a place to stay, collaborate and hang-out. 💚

Common Grounds provides a fun and connective space for those who travel as a way of life — not just for a vacation. It is a place where you can meet like-minded people, and experience the hostel vibe while making lifelong friends, without the craziness.

💻 We provide a connective co-working space whereby you can work, be creative and meet like minded people, have a coffee (or a beer) and make life-changing connections while still getting your stuff done. If you have stuff to do, that is… ha!

Who we are...

Common Grounds is a well-established and respected member of the Pai community, known for the best local staff (The ZEEN, The JEEN and MAYA), creative fun guests from all around the world, creating good vibes in and around town. And we continue to embody that ethos and reputation as the good-vibe-tribe.

While we are not a party hostel, we still like to get down and party 🤘🏼. We are famously known for our super cool and funky parties, the best live music 🎶, and our legendary soul trains 🕺🏿.

What to expect...

The common grounds family take an organic approach to day trips... we wake up and we go, every day is an adventure! We also have strong ties with local adventure tour organizations and cultural community projects.

We do our utmost to respect Thai culture, support the local community and the businesses that operate here in Pai. There is so much to do, form trekking to the waterfalls, sunset at the canyon, heading out for adventure hikes and of course just chilling on the hammock, or at the hot springs. Oh yeah… and the secret spots, Shhh! 🤫

Come join us here at common grounds, we can’t wait to meet you.

lots of love,

CG Family x

A really wholesome stay! The private room was so lush and the hostel itself had a great vibe. Super close to the centre of Pai and lots of activities organised daily to get involved in.

Really great, social hostel with an amazing vibe! Only thing to note was that the curtains are not enough to fully cover each bunk bed and the bathroom/showers were not super clean, but they were clean enough. Other than that, perfect

was a nice place to stay for a short time. very welcoming, in a good location and there is plenty to do there, they also organise things to do as a group. bathrooms need to be cleaned more often including the en-suites and the bins in there need lids as it does smell. the overnight staff was kind but definitely extremely high each night so would be no security. overnight there is nowhere to sit and talk with friends as they completely close the social area later in the evening
