— Location —
The Yard is nestled in Ari—Bangkok's #1 ranked neighborhood, known for its hip cafés, rich culture, friendly street vendors, and delicious restaurants. If your plan is to visit all the temples, party on Khaosan Road, or take part in super social activities, we recommend staying somewhere closer to the old town. But if you're looking for a calm, authentic experience in a cool, local neighborhood, we’d love to welcome you here at The Yard.

At The Yard, we’re all about peaceful connections and meaningful conversations. You won’t find pub crawls or quizzes here—what we offer is a calm space to unwind, meet like-minded people, and soak in the beauty of nature around you. We believe too many activities can overwhelm the real gatherers—the ones who love to stay at a physical community like ours, where connections form naturally. Whether you’re enjoying our cozy garden, taking a Muay Thai class, or just sharing stories with fellow travelers, we hope you feel at home in our little oasis. 💚

— Sustainability —
One thing that makes our hostel different (from your typical hostel) is that we aim to reduce our environmental impact as much as possible.

When we designed the hostel we took our impact on the environment into consideration. For example,
- Every direct booking, we donate 1%-7% to indigenous village in Northern Thailand to prevent forest burn.
- We used recycled materials to build the rooms, which are actually old shipping containers.
- We also insulated the rooms with recycled paper to reduce energy consumption from air conditioning.
- Another way we reduce our impact is by using less plastic. For instance, we don't sell plastic bottles of water and we encourage guests to refill their bottles.
- We also use overstock fabrics for your bedsheets instead of producing new ones.
- Breakfast is served as a set to reduce food waste, but you can always refill until you’re full!
- We made homemade yogurt and jam to reduce single use plastic.


— Philosophy —
Our philosophy is reflected in our name: in English, ‘Yard’ refers to an open space next to a home, while in Thai, it means ‘family.’ We aim to provide a living space that feels warm and welcoming, just like family. At The Yard, we bring people together to share stories, build connections, and learn about sustainable living as we work toward BUILDING ONE WORLD FAMILY.


Our yard provide
- FREE Wi-Fi access
- Air condition
- Healthy breakfast (Homemade yogurt, seasonal fruits, homemade jam, organic coffee and tea from local farmer in the north of Thailand)
- You can check in late, we have night shift staff
- Bicycle (Free of charge)
- Free luggage storage for up to 2 months.
- Big Green space. After a long day, lay back in our yard.
- BBQ equipment for you when you want to BBQ party.
- And super comfortable bed and duvet

Terms & Conditions:
1. Check-in time: after 2.00 PM.
- In case you come before check in time, you can take a nap in our living room or shower if you want.
2. Check-out time: before 12.00 PM. (noon)
- In case of early checkout, you can ask for the breakfast box to take away.
- After checking out you can shower and hang out in our yard before leaving.
3. We have night shift staff waiting for you, in case of late check-in.
4. After you make a reservation we will send you the ebook about how to come to our hostel.
5. Every booking is included breakfast (8 am - 10.30 am)
6. You can leave your luggage in our hostel for maximum 2 months without any charge.
7. Our bar will close at midnight
8. If you are a smoker, please join our smoking club (without cannabis)
9. Children Policy:
-Minimum age of guests is 18 years old in the dorm room but welcome in private room.
Extra beds are dependent on the room you choose, please check the individual room policy for more details.
10. Both cash and credit card payments are acceptable upon check-in at the property without any charge.
11. At least 3 days advance notice for free cancellation.
