We are located about twenty minutes by tube from London city centre.

The Cranbrook Hotel is suited close to Valentines Park, which is beautiful and well cared for, covering over 136 acres. There are amenities for tennis, mini-golf, swimming and boating. The park is well known for its old English garden, the Rosary Terrace and its lakes.

The hotel is ideally placed for all public transport a few minutes walk from Ilford Station (twenty minutes to Central London). It is, therefore, an ideal situation for visiting London to see the sights.

Eight bus routes pass the door to Barking, Dagenham, Chigwell and further afield. Park Hotel has been established for over twenty-five years and is run as a family business by the resident proprietors. Free car parking is available in the hotel grounds.

I usually don't leave a review. But this hotel was uniquely difficult. They cleaned rooms in the morning and was disruptive. I also felt questioned and actively monitored by staff. There is also a strict policy on providing a deposit. The deposit exceeded the cost of the stay but to be fair they do state it in the emails you get after booking. The neighborhood is rough as well. I presume they have a lot of these rules and distrust in guests as a result. I would suggest a pod hotel over this.

The person at the desk, Arthur, was a great help on arrival. I had only 50 Euro notes and he promptly gave me the required amount for taxi fare, which I refunded after checking in. Killcian, another person during morning hours too was very prompt in helping us with breakfast and giving directions. Their behaviour is excellent. Location is another plus point.

It really wasn't a great property. Lousy beds, lots of cracked grout in the phone-booth sized washroom. The shower curtain kept very little water in the shower and the bathroom floor looked like tarpaper with tiles painted on it. There was no night-light, and the night table between the beds had wood-grain MacTac, very poorly applied, on it. There was of course, no power to the night table. The hallway door beside our room was very squeaky, and didn't help the quality of sleep any.
