Located within the lush jungle and wild coastline of eastern Hawai'i island, Kalani Oceanside Retreat Center is a retreat center and iconic eco-tourism destination that provides memorable opportunities to connect, learn and rejuvenate in a remote and abundant environment. Our campus serves as a hub for education programs, visiting guests, wellness services, permaculture gardening, and community living. We offer a variety of yoga, meditation, art, and dance classes each week in addition to regular community workshops, special events, and much more. Discover tropical fruit trees, flourishing gardens, and thriving local wildlife across our 120 collective acres, participate in community classes or events, and embrace wellness services like a massage that are available during your stay at our unique retreat center and intentional community.

Our accommodations are rustic and simple, 'jungle-chic' as we like to say! Our private cottages are uniquely designed and complement the surrounding landscapes of the enchanting Red Road of Puna.

Each of our lodging accommodations is artistically designed to compliment the surrounding landscapes of the scenic and enchanting Red Road of Puna with its tunnels of tree canopies, cliffside ocean vistas, vibrant jungles, creative communities, and lava fields along the way. The photos available include several separate cottages to showcase the variety of unique designs at our center. Please note that cottages are reserved based on availability at the time of booking which may influence the style available. Please let us know if you have a preference and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

Lastly, we support thoughtful and educational travel to our islands. We encourage you to explore the Pono Pledge to Malama (care for and steward) these lands as a guest and discover information about cultural etiquette and protected species.
