Overview
Previously an old monastery, Euphemia Old City Canal Zone is a laid-back hotel with an ace central location in Amsterdam. There is a vending machine in the lounge, so you can get snacks and hot and cold drinks throughout the day. The lounge is open from 08.00 AM through to 11.00 PM, so you can drop in and meet other travelers, watch TV or make the most of our free Wi-Fi. If you fancy exploring the city on pedals, we'd be happy to sort out your bike hire. There's bike parking right outside the hostel.
Location
We're close to the city's main attractions, including the Heineken brewery and museum quarter (not to be missed) and Leidseplein square, as well as the Anne Frank House. Even though we're near to some of the city's best nightspots, we're based down a quiet side street, so your sleep shouldn't be disturbed by noise. To get to the hostel from the airport, take the train to Amsterdam Central station and from there Metro # 52 and get off at the Wijzelgracht. The Fokke Simonszstraat is on the left side of the street. Alternatively Bus 397 from the airport will bring you to the Rijksmuseum from there it is 10 Minutes walk
Rooms
You'll find we have variously sized private rooms. All the rooms have private bathrooms, all 2 and 3 person rooms have towels in the room, 4 and 5 person rooms can rent a towel at reception for €2,-
Extras and activities
You'll find plenty of handy extras like adapters, If you fancy some downtime, help yourself from our book exchange. When you're heading off on the next leg of your travels, we'll be happy to store your luggage before your flight.

Payments and Credit Cards:
Your credit card was charged by HostelWorld for the total room price, at arrival you need to pay the city tax (12.5%)
Non-refundable rate reservations:
For cancellation or changes before or after arrival and no show, there is NO refund
Standard rate reservations:
For cancellations, please send email to the hotel 48 hours before arrival date and not arrival time.
Cancellations and changes on and after the arrival date will be charged 100%.
Deposits:
• Key deposit: €10 per person is mandatory (cash only)
• Groups (4+): €50 deposit (cash only)
• We do not accept €200, - and €500, - banknotes
• All deposits are refundable upon returning the keys and room check
• For all other payments in the hotel with credit card payments: 5% surcharge
Check-in:
• Reception: 08:00 AM - 11:00 PM, Please notify us when you will be arriving
• Rooms ready: 2:00 PM
• Early arrival: Luggage storage available
• Late arrival (after 11:00 PM): Inform us for late check-in
Check-out:
• Time: Until 10:00 AM. Check out after 10:00AM is possible for an extra fee, please ask during check in for details.
• Early check-out: Arrange by 10:30 PM the night before
• Luggage storage available
Groups:
No Parties! STAG/HEN/BACHELOR PARTY GROUPS are not allowed, this type of reservation will be rejected.
Group reservation (10 person or more) we have different policies and additional supplements.
Non Smoking!
At the Euphemia smoking or vaping is NOT allowed anywhere! Smoking in the Euphemia, activated the smoke alarm or any other damage or covering the smoke detector etc. will result in a charge of €.100,
Guest's Belongings:
Guests are particularly requested to lock the door of their rooms when leaving the room. For the convenience of the guest, lockers are provided in the room. It is highly recommended to store all valuable belongings in the safe deposit at the reception. The management will not, in any way whatsoever, be responsible for any loss/or damage to the guest's belongings, any other property from either the hotel room or the locker or any other part of the hotel for any cause whatsoever.
Damage to Property:
The guest will be held responsible for any loss or damage to hotel property caused by themselves, their guests or any person for whom they are responsible.
Management's Rights:
It is agreed that the guest will conduct him/herself in a respectable manner and will not cause any nuisance or annoyance within the hotel premise. No parties of any kind, including sleepovers, are permitted in the hotel.
