Aien is a great hostel! Well designed, lots of space in the bunks, good clean showers, good washer & dryers, and great food and coffee available in the café. Also, close to sunset beach, and lots of great veggie restaurants nearby since it’s so close to the American village. All the guys who work there were also so lovely. Great chilled atmosphere, good big patio outside. Maybe not the best for very light sleepers, but there are earplugs. Lots of on the street and a coin parking super close by.

All-around great hostel. No secured storage for luggage. A "no shoe" rule in the rooms would be nice.

Just ok. Beds very uncomfortable and small pillows. No atmosphere, it is primarily a coffeeshop. Very small room to relax in other than the tight dorms and the coffee shop. Coffee shop is loud in the early morning, people talking can easily be heard in the rooms. Sinks for brushing teeth are also the kitchen sinks. Security is subpar, people leave the door open at all hours, but it is Japan so not a huge concern. Nothing awful but definitely not one of the better places I've stayed.
