El Hostel del Patio

Best location and very clean and cozy rooms! everything was perfect and grabbing a drink and eating on the platform on the laguna was a treat!

Beautiful hostel with lovely rooms, comfortable beds, good AC and hot showers. The restaurant was also really nice. The main downside was the staff – reception was usually closed, so everything was done through WhatsApp, which made check-in and check-out difficult and felt quite impersonal. They did help arrange tours, which I appreciated, but I would have preferred face-to-face interaction. Social spaces are also fairly limited.

This was genuinely the nicest hostel I’ve ever stayed at. The atmosphere is absolutely wonderful. The restaurant next door was some of the best food we had in the whole trip. We had a fridge, small kitchen, private bathroom, and nice clean beds which were cleaned each day. Special shoutout to Sandra who graciously helped get my wallet back to me which I left under the pillow. I had already left on the boats when I realized and she was able to send it with a different boat to the La povona port.
