PROS: Bob’s a small hippy place. Good rooftop space. Dorms are perfectly secure(only 1 private curtain bed). The host gives good local recs. CONS: I arrived early in JU at 6am, on Jan 1 & the host simply refused to let me come to the property before 8:30am, which was rude. They don’t allow outside food/drinks, but overcharge for every small item & their food is only average. No community events are organised here. Host is little biased towards indian guests, mostly gives time to westerners.

I booked a private room and could hear everything from the neighboring bunk unit. For light sleepers I would not recommend. I didn’t get that warm a welcome by the guy on standby either

Bob hostel is a funny but charming little place right in the heart of the old town, super close to the clocktower/market-square and the fort. Jodhpur was the second city I've visited in India, and I must say staying in this area as a foreigner is definitely not for the faint of heart - immediately after leaving the hostel you're greeted with the chaos and commotion of a busy market street. The private room was good value for money though and surprisingly kept most of the street noise out.
