Welcome to Omnia – your home in Ahangama 🌴

Omnia is a social hostel, perfect for solo travellers, backpackers and digital nomads who want to meet people 🤝. With daily activities like free yoga classes 🧘‍♀️, shared family-style dinners, sunset hangouts 🌅, spontaneous surf trips or safaris, it is easy to connect and feel part of the Omnia family. To keep the atmosphere personal and relaxed, we do not allow large groups, making Omnia ideal for solo travellers and small groups. We also have an in-house restaurant serving local Sri Lankan dishes and Western favourites 🍽️.

We are just 600 metres from Ahangama Beach and 1.5 km from Kabalana Beach, close to beginner and intermediate surf spots and cafés 🌊.

Relax in our common areas with table tennis, comfy bean bags and free WiFi 💻, or chat with our friendly team for local tips and activities around Ahangama. Many guests arrive for a few nights and end up staying longer.

Loved my stay here! Akila and his staff are incredibly welcoming and always happy to help with anything you need. I ended up extending my stay because the hostel is very social and it’s easy to feel at home from day one - so why change to another place in Ahangama? The location is perfect: close enough to the main road, yet far from the noise of scooters and tuk-tuks. If you’re looking for a social atmosphere without the typical wild hostel party vibes, this is the place for you 🙂 Also: the rooms are clean

Had a lovely stay during off season at the southern coast, the staff managed to make me feel warm and comfortable throughout the stay .

The hostel was quite quiet but very clean, lovely interior and polite staff. We booked this for the “cafe” aspect, I do understand it’s the off season but it didn’t seem to ever be operating at any point across the days we stayed there? The ice bath is also currently empty as it’s the off season so don’t expect that if you choose to stay here.
