Negrita hostel is located in La Barra area, we are a small hostel perfect for surfers and skaters (right in front of La Barra skatepark and very close to La Barra and La Posta del Cangrejo surfspots).

We offer pool, snacks bar and breakfast in high season (December to March). (Pool and bar are closed during low season).

Please notice: low season is usually quiet, few people around and high season the opposite. We are a small family business, we host with love, we welcome all travellers and we try to do it better every day! (not fancy, snob nor big chain perfect hostel)

Il Negrita Hostel a Punta Del Este vanta una posizione fantastica vicino alla spiaggia e a La Barra. Gli ospiti lodano spesso lo staff incredibilmente cordiale e disponibile, che si impegna al massimo. L'atmosfera è ottima, ed è una buona scelta per viaggiatori solitari e per chi cerca un'atmosfera balneare rilassata.

close to the beach property and reception folks are amazing. super responsive and made my stay wonderful. simple accomodation close to everything!

Fabulous hostel with a great host who helped us with bus planning our routes around Uruguay. Two super cute cats roam around the hostel. We had the private room which was comfy. Short walk to the beach which was beautiful. Would stay here again. Thanks!

Absolutely loved our stay here. The staff were so incredibly helpful and made the experience even better. We got an overnight bus and therefore got in quite early but they still let us check in before our time and went out of their way to give us good recommendations and recovered a lost item of ours from a bus in Montevideo. Couldn’t have been happier with this stay.
