Disappointing stay overall. Considering the price, I expected much better value for money. The room was advertised for five people, but in reality it felt more suitable for two or three guests at most. Space was very limited, making the room feel crowded and uncomfortable. I had a great stay at San Lorenzo One Hostel. The location is excellent, it's right next to La Sapienza, one of the oldest and most prestigious universities in Europe. It's a great place to meet lots of like-minded people, both locals and tourists, and experience the authentic atmosphere of the neighborhood. The hostel is also close to many attractions, with public transport nearby, making it easy to explore Rome. Not only are the bunk beds not really beds—they're basically sofas on flimsy wire frames with old, peeling mattresses—there are no lockers in the room! Not only are the sheets missing towels, but you'll have to remind the staff about the duvet cover and blanket! Be prepared for Mehdi to be very bossy, not only dictating that "you can't be here after 8 p.m."—he practically kicked me out the day I left! And when I asked for help carrying my bags, he took my LIGHTEST backpack!
