Hostel Trail has been the backpacker´s favourite in Popayan since 2007 thanks to it´s friendly and sociable atmosphere where you can meet other travellers, make use of the extensive tourist information and maybe join a group to do tour in the local area like biking to the Coconuco thermal pools or hiking the active Puracé volcano. The services and infrastructure we offer is designed with the traveller in mind and we want you to have the best possible time in Popayan! We have all of the services that you would expect from an excellent backpacker hostel, wifi internet, a guest kitchen and free tea and coffee in the mornings. Our laundry service costs 15,000 Pesos per load and we have a variety of tours and activities that you can book directly through the hostel. The Hostel Trail has a total of 25 beds, including dorms, singles, double and twin rooms all with and without private bathroom. All private rooms are decorated with photography from around South America and have hand-made duvets. The private rooms also have custom made shutters on the windows to ensure a quiet (and dark) nights sleep.
