Welcome to Castilho 63 Hostel & Suites!

Castilho 63 is in the city centre, just near Marques de Pombal (the heart of Lisbon), and about 5 mint. walking to the subway. HOWEVER, you can walk pretty much everywhere: from going to the top of the 'Parque Eduardo VII' and having an incredible view of the city; getting all the way down from Avenida da Liberdade and end up in the river; hitting the road to the 'Bairro Alto / Principe Real', have a drink and enjoy all the nightlife attractions; or even walk to 'Alfama' and visit the Castle and the most typical neighbourhoods of Lisbon!

Why are we different?

We have 5 big spacious floors in a traditional Lisbon building, made before the 50s. Every detail is made by us, step by step, with our personalized touch: just come and have a look!

You can enjoy several common areas such as:

- Living room: TV, Games and table football.
- Kitchen: equipped microwave, fridge, toaster, kettle…where you can prepare your food.
- Exterior area: perfect to chill with friends in our bar and enjoy the nice Portuguese temperature ( WARNING: sometimes it gets cold, we are not a tropical country ;) )

Enjoy our amazing breakfast, hot coffee 24/7.
Our local staff will help you to discover Lisbon in a Portuguese way - travel is not just about a check list, lets discover the other side!!

I had a negative experience towards the end of my stay. I woke up with pink eye and was likely because of the bedding. I raised my concerns to the receptionist and she was very dismissive and told me to get more rest. I was not satisfied by how this was handled. The hostel was not visibly dirty but there was an odor throughout the floor I stayed in especially near the bathrooms.

Nice hostel, had a jolly good stay. Included breakfast was wonderful and hostel was pretty well located. Dorm rooms were rather small but still just about functional. All rooms had a pin pad with a specific code to get into, however the front door never seemed to be locked even though we were told it would be (came home after midnight and was still unlocked). Overall nice place, very clean and staff were lovely.

The bathrooms were not clean at all. The breakfast was incredible tho, but the problem was that there was no place to cook, just 2 airfryer. our room had the lockers broken, they were not able to be closed with a lock.
