Hostal Vistaguila

Hostel and staff were very lovely, the room was cosy and the spaces to relax in were really nice. Only thing to improve was the showers - there was an eggy smell from the drain in the bathroom after showering.

Unfortunately during my stay someone managed to enter the room and force open my locker, stealing a large amount of cash. The staff were incredibly kind and supportive, doing everything they could to investigate the situation. One of them even offered me money from their own pocket, which I deeply appreciated, though of course it shouldn’t come down to that. Given the seriousness of the accident, I was hoping for reasonable compensation. The owner was abroad and said he couldn’t do anything.

Best free hostel breakfast I’ve had in Colombia, staff are super friendly and helpful. The shared kitchen could be cleaner and there’s no hot water for dishes but pretty well equipped. Rooms are spacious and clean and good value for money.
