North Surf House

I spend a week at the North Surf Hostel, and it was such a pleasure. There’s a really nice and social crowd of volunteers who takes care of the place, so it’s tidy, clean and filled with activities you can tap into. They made it feel homey or like a small collective, bcuz they’re also living there enjoying the company and not just there to work. We went surfing, to some bars, played a lot of pingpong or just hung out and listened to the stories of the people on the Camino, who’d also stay there.

Decent value, friendly staff, good location, good experience overall

Very nice hostel, great value for money. Guessing I was here in the off season so it was nice and quiet. I was surprised the individual rooms didn’t have locks—anyone could go in and out as they pleased. Also, the lockers provided were very small and couldn’t fit much more than a handbag, so you just had to leave your stuff out in the room. I didn’t have any issues with things getting stolen, but it was not ideal.
