Friendly staff, secure, close to bus/ferry and town centre. WiFi ok. Some issues when boiler stopped working so no hot water in shower, but got sorted after a couple of hours. Comfy beds, large lockers. I'd stay again.

In the 3 days we spent here in Castro, we were rained in and had to stay in the hostel most of 2 days. Day 1 we were able to tour around ands sight seen after being given very helpful advice from the staff. Day 2 the power was out all day (which is very uncommon) and we had no where to go but the staff made the best of the situation and we ended up having a lovely time. A very sweet familial vibe here that made our stay that much better. Highly recommend (but make sure to check the forecast).
